’m going to be telling you some interesting facts and information on three seals the Leopard seal, Fur seal, and the Weddell seal. First off the Leopard seal has an enormous jaw, a huge head, and a white and grey coat with black spotted dot on it. The seal mainly feeds on penguins, sea birds, small seals, cephalopods fish, and krill, the baby leopard seals feed on small fish and krill. They can weigh up to 840 pounds, they can reach up to 11.5 feet, they can live more than 25 years, their current population is 200,000. Although they are usually the predators, they have a predator too, the killer whale. The Leopard seals scientific name is Hydrurga leptonyx is Greek for “small clawed”.
