Leonardo Da Vinci's The Last Supper

Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, inventor, sculptor, poet, architect, engineer, scientist, musician, and all-around intellectual. Leonardo embodies the term of a "Renaissance man." Growing up, Leonardo had a brilliant and inquiring mind that accepted no limits. Throughout Leonardo's life he remained absorbed by the problem of how things worked or how they might work. Leonardo made innovative studies in astronomy, botany, geology, optics, and especially mathematics. One of his well known investigations was the "Study of Human Proportions." Leornardo's mathematical interest was evident in his work, "The Last Supper," because he used one-point linear perspectives to organize the many figures in the composition and set them into deep space.
