One of the most talented human beings in history is Leonardo da Vinci. He was a painter, sculptor, architect, scientist, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, astronomer, cartographer, botanist, historian and writer (Wiki). Leonardo was born in the town of Vinci, on the date of April 15, 1452. Leonardo 's birth name was "Lionardo di ser Piero da Vinci". Leonardo was given an informal education in Geometry, Latin and Mathematics. Leonardo is most notably known for his work of art, his inventions, and his science discoveries.
First, Leonardo da Vinci is widely known for his work of art. Schools from all around the world teach students who Leonardo da Vinci was and why he was important. Most people believe that his artwork was one of his best contributions to society. Da Vinci has two pieces of art that are exceedingly well known. The art pieces are known as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. According to the Encyclopedia of Art Education, the Mona Lisa in one of the most important Renaissance masterpieces of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries (Encyclopedia of Art Education). The Mona Lisa is the most famous world known painting and it is not signed or dated by da Vinci.
