Leonardo was born in Italy near the city of Florence, outside the city of Vinci. In the book “The life of Da Vinci,” the author states that, “His last name da Vinci means he’s from Vinci. In “The complete works” it states that “He was a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, painter, sculptor, architect, musician and writer.” (paragraph 1) He was most famous for his art and his inventions.
