I never really been a person that is into paintings a lot but I can say that the painting from Leonardo Da Vinci of the Last Supper is the most beautiful piece that has even been done. The older I get I am becoming more of a fan of Leonardo Da Vinci work. His painting of the Last Supper symbols so much. I found it interested that this painting can give an image of people being able to gather together to eat but that it doesn't give any hint that two of the disciples would betray Jesus after. This painting is a reminder to me that in today's society that man is the same as those disciples that betrayed Jesus. Humans are sneaky. They come off as being for you but has soon as other turns against you the ones that once believe in you will start to tell lies about you. I also love that this painting shows that no matter what that Jesus still loves …show more content…
I remember entering my freshman year of high school feeling that I needed to make sure my hair and makeup was done so that other would see me as beautiful. That was the same year that I realized that I did not need to do to be a beautiful person. This may have been when I turn into what people called a hippie. I no longer did my hair or used chemicals in it. I no longer put makeup on. My clothing choice was not like the other young girls I went to school with. I actually spent my high school years wearing sweat pants to everything. I wanted people to see me for myself and not with this mask. I wanted to be accepted for the way I acted and looked, not as a person that trying to look like the next American model. Still to this day when I see the commercials of how the society is trying to make women feel they need to look to feel that way that makes be mad. Especially when I go to my sons Instagram or Snap Chat and see these amazing girls feel that they need to have so much makeup on and wearing the smallest outfit they can so show their bodies make me want to

Analyzing Art Work by Different Artists from Different Periods Art is very important to people especially when it represents spirituality. It adds a strong connection between the artist and the viewers on something they both agree on. Art in the early Renaissance was mostly about spirituality, but as time passes by, artists paid less attention to spirituality, and they started adding other themes to art. I intend to show that The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, represents the scene of The Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. Da Vinci has depicted the horror in the 12 disciples’ faces when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.…

Artists spend specific amount of time to visualize their vision. Few but not many people consider that, creators ought to have complete liberty to express their notions and concepts. In my opinion, I solely agree with the statement, in addition to ethical practice followed by them. Igor Babailov, a Russian born American artist once said, “Artists with the lack of proper education and experience of working from life will copy whatever is visible on the photograph, without knowing what's underneath. As a result, instead of creating the in-depth and full of character portrait, they draw a mask with no soul.” Without question Leonardo Da Vinci captured souls. His 15th Century contributions remain supreme whether they be in art, science, mathematics, engineering, writing or music. Such was Leonardo’s ability he enjoyed recognition and support as he created artworks such as the Mona Lisa and the less famous, Ginevra de benci.…

When I was a teenager there was no booty shorts or teenage lingerie or a make-up line for girls and teens. Now stores are targeting all of theses things for younger girls making them grow up so fast or look like they are grown. I remember having my eight-year-old niece over and when she arrived to my house her face was full of makeup and she was wearing a bra under her little tank top and her booty shorts. I wiped her face off with a wet towel and told her she was to young to wear makeup and that she should be a little girl and enjoy it.…

Michelangelo’s Last Judgement Michelangelo’s Last Judgement on the Sistine Chapel altar wall was finished in 1541, and depicts the second advent of Jesus Christ, as well as the final judgement of humanity during the second coming. Marcia B. Hall, and Leo Steinberg offer their views on what Michelangelo’s Last Judgement depicts. Both use a variety of resources to dissect the Last Judgement to determine what Michelangelo was trying to depict in his fresco scene. Marcia B. Hall argues in her article “Michelangelo’s Last Judgement: Resurrection of the Body and Predestination” that Michelangelo designed the fresco to represent the resurrection of Jesus, but not the judgement by Jesus (Hall, 89). Hall bases her claim on Jesus’ active presence.…

The people that look at me, and make judgements before taking the time to talk to me, often can’t comprehend the idea that the way I look is entirely for me. Almost every morning, I get up and spend over an hour on complex makeup and multi-fasciated outfits, and I do it for no other reason then to be delighted with the way I look, and to give myself the ability to walk around with the confidence that I had always envied in other…

“The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural” (Klein). Many people in this society have been persuaded over the course of 100 years that what makes someone beautiful is how clear their skin is or how clear someone can make their skin appear using cosmetic products. Unconsciously, America has fallen into the belief that clear skin, without acne, and flawless makeup is the constitution for self-confidence and success in life. This belief of beauty creates a dystopian lifestyle that will only cause long term problems as the definition of beauty is constantly evolving, along with new upcoming trends that are spawning all over social media Communities around the world are being consumers to what is fed all over media that…

Since the Renaissance period, many things have changed, from the way we act and the way we dress, but one thing that has not changed is our appreciation for art. Art, then and now, captures the worries and problems that are going on in the World around us. Michelangelo’s “The Last Judgement” (1536-1541), has many scenes within the painting that show the people’s facial expressions, mostly of worry, for whether or not they will be sent to Heaven or Hell. Michelangelo (1475-1564) just may as well be one of the greatest Italian artists of the Renaissance period, creating some of the most creative and inspiring artwork during his lifetime. Looking at all of his paintings and sculptures, one can definitely tell that his artwork is very detailed…

Despite our personal views, paintings, sculptures, places, and churches reflect worldview and civic identity. In the “Last Supper,” Leonardo shows monumental simplicity (Bondanella and Musa 48). His composition is masterful. He strikes the contrast of the disciples’ attitudes as counter posed to that of Christ. Instead of choosing the portrayal of Judas as customary in the iconographic tradition, he portrayed the moment of highest tension in the New Testament as in the bible, “One of you that eat with me will betray me."…

The fashion industry claims to promote individualism and positive body image, but it seems to do just the opposite. Clothing advertisements display tall, thin, flawless women and promise that customers, too, can be beautiful by wearing certain clothes or makeup products. Research has proven that this propaganda style causes women to express "...more negative feelings about their sexual attractiveness, weight and physical condition after seeing thin models than before" (Neff). Most designers do not make clothing lines for plus-sized body types, leaving the majority of women without the means to acquire the unrealistic idea of beauty the industry presents. Many girls are bullied for their appearances, and extreme measures such as plastic surgery…
