Leonardo Da Vinci embodied the Renaissance Spirit by displaying humanism, having a passion for learning and had many different talents. The Renaissance was a period of rebirth.It brought back Roman and Greek ideas, and displayed more worldly thoughts. The birthplace of the renaissance was Florence, Italy which is actually where Leonardo Da Vinci lived for most of his life. He was the perfect renaissance man because he took part in so many different things. As you can see, he was very devoted to his work. Ideas like realism in a painting and humanism influenced him. This shows Da Vinci’s devotion to having many different talents, making him the ideal Renaissance man. He sketched out the firsts of many things such as the first parachute, helicopter, tank, aeroplane, repeating rifle, swinging bridge, paddle boat, and even the first motor car. Leonardo was also very good at creating machines of war. Leonardo also created many advancements in music. He designed a silver lye in the shape of a horse's head which was supposedly had a beautiful sound. He drew up plans for many new musical instruments including the flute and the viola organista, but this was never built. He created a mechanism that allows drummers to tighten skins with one hand and move the drumsticks using a system of cogs. He worked very hard on improving mechanisms for keyboards so that they would be easier to play.
Overall, Leonardo Da Vinci was a very hard worker. He created advancements in many things that we used today, he displayed humanism and realism in his art, and he was very bright man, considering his lack of education. He was super devoted to his works making him the perfect Renaissance
