Da Vinci has one of the most intriguing personality in the history of western art. He was trained as a painter and sculptor. Even though da Vinci is mostly known for his paintings and sculptures he was also really good at science as well. At the age of 14, Da Vinci began to Learn all of his technique skills such as metal working, leather arts,carpentry, drawing, and sculpting. All of these skills helped Da Vinci become the great artist and scientists he was. As we know Da Vinci was really known for his his paintings more then his skills on science.
Da Vinci's notebooks are filled with descriptions of his extraordinary scientific studies. Based on this evidence he was called the first modern scientists. He also drew blueprints for an airplane and submarine. Da Vinci has been called a genius. He has over 13,000 pages of notes recorded even drawings of flying machines which was the airplane. Leonardo Da Vinci also sketched a parachute, a parachute is something that slows down the speed of the atmosphere when you are jumping out of an airplane or doing something else. Da Vinci also came out with the anemometer, an anemometer is something that tells you the speed of the wind and this is often used at weather stations. There was something else sketched in his notebook and it was an armored car, an armored car is a light heavy duty car meant for the military. There are many more sketches in his note book then just this but if it was emit for Da Vinci none of these things would be a
