In figure 1 is my son Leonardo Campos newly born. There is more to the picture than just a cute small baby with jet black hair. Starting October 17th, 2014 at four in the morning I went into labor. On October 18th, 2014 at exactly 11:36 a.m. was the best experience of my life because my adorable son was born, I felt a pain that I will never forget, and along with all that happiness was brought into my life making it sky blue clear. The pain of labor was unbearable; it felt as if a knife was stabbing me a thousand times around my hips and at the same time my bones felt like they were on fire for 32 hours. He was only 17 inches long. The taste of the kisses I would give were sweet like candy. His smell was a strong baby shampoo and body wash with a hint of kiwi and mango. Becoming a mother has been a great blessing, my life turned around and it became this whole new stage of life. I was young when I had him but I do not regret it. Every time he smiles it brightens up my dad even when the sky is gray and filled with clouds. I have always told myself that the pain would only last hours but the happiness would last a lifetime. It motivated me to be a great mother and he brings a lot of joy to my family. I have been a single mother for two years already and there is nothing I would trade in the world for it. It gets tough but nothing compares to the love between a mother and child. October 18th, 2014 was a great experience because I was blessed with an adorable baby boy, the pain was painful but a great experience because it made me love him more, and he brought joy and happiness to my

On September 15, I went and took part in el Grito ceremony held at the Miller Outdoor Theater to celebrate the Mexican Independence Day. I did not know what was el Grito, so I went to that event with an open mind. I really enjoy the sense of community that I experienced during that event. People came as a family or with a group of friends.…
