Leonard Nimoy was 83 years old when he died February 27, 2015. He was known for many things, but acting as Spock in the Star Trek movies was his most famous role. Nimoy decided to pursue acting at a rather young age. He was not afraid to put himself out there and he did by starring in many of his school plays. Although his acting career did not take off immediately he eventually was in many films. Some of the shows he starred in were The Twilight Zone, Sea Hunt, and Bonanza.

Leonard Nimoy’s death was a tragedy in my opinion. I loved the Star Trek movies as a kid and I love the new ones too. His entire world of Star Trek fans had to have been devastated when they heard the news of Nimoy’s death.
I liked learning a little bit about his background through writing this paper. It was interesting to see how the small little Nimoy boy, who loved acting in plays in his school, turned into a brilliant actor and director. He acted in over ten different shows!
