Mentioned in the paragraph before there is a thin line between helping people be able to live a comfortable life and creating superhumans. Christians have a moral obligation to make sure technology is being used for the correct reasons. The technology is going to be there, so Christians have to make sure that it is not being unethically used and creating people who are more robot than actual humans. Christians are called to science careers in order to draw that ethical line that should not be crossed. Also, all Christians are called to serve each other, so Christians who are engineers or scientists can help people through their scientific work. Mechanical engineers can create mechanical devices that assist humans and make life easier. Engineers are supposed to solve problems and figure out how to make life better and easier for people. Even though robots are taking over some jobs, robots can still benefit humans by being so technologically advanced. For example, Robots can take over simple tasks of some professions, such as nursing, so they have more time to do more important work (Whyatt, 2014). Humans developed many different upgrades to technology purposed towards making life comfortable. While a majority of the time research and science is considered to be purposed for helping humans there will also often be a medical research project which might go against our religious values. A good example can be considered as abortion, which is a medical procedure purposed towards helping girls and women. In Canada, we as Canadians take great pride in our culture, kindness, and hospitality. Although ironically taking a look back in history when Canada was in the developing stages, it was made illegal for a woman to get an abortion outside of a hospital under S. 251 of the criminal code.…
