The reason that Lennie panic is because Curley’s wife ask him to stroke her hair but then he ends up not letting go and she start to complain, “Lennie was in a panic. His face was contorted. She screamed then, and Lennie’s other hand closed over her mouth and nose. “Please don’t,” he begged.…
I disagree with George killing Lennie, because Lennie didn’t mean to kill Curley's wife. Lennie only wanted to feel her hair, unfortunately, she overreacted and freaked out, which scared Lennie which caused him to accidentally kill her. All Lennie wanted to do was run away together with George. Chapter one “Of Mice And Men,” it explains that when George and Lennie lived in Weed, Lennie wanted to feel a girls dress because it looked soft.…

Based on the text, Firstly, i would would feel sympathy for George because looking after Lennie is frustrating and it causes him problems. This can be seen early in the first section of the book when Lennie and George are travelling to the farm that they are due to start work on and enter a clearing where Lennie starts to drink from a pond: “Lennie!” he said . “Lennie, for God sakes don’t drink so much.” Also i feel sympathetic for Curley wife because I feel Curley's wife is the most depressed and lonely character in the novel.…
Lennie is childish. For example, when he gets told things or do things he tends to forget about what he was told, or what he did. He also loves to pet animals or soft things, but usually ends up killing them, like when he got a dead mouse. (Pg 12). Lennie wanted to pet a dead mouse along the walk but George (His best pal) ends up catching him with the mouse, George asks Lennie why he wanted a dead mouse and Lennie replies with “I could pet it with my thumb while we walked along.”…

Lennie has a disability so he wouldn’t survive by himself in the world. The way Nick helps is that he feeds him and he helps him get out of trouble, “Lennie-if you jus’ happen to get in trouble like you always done before, I want you to come right here an’ hide in the brush...till I come for you”(Steinbeck 62). It would be impractical for someone to achieve a dream they are constantly getting in trouble and taking the blame for it. Without George, Lennie would have been dead by that time. George could achieve his dream if he were to leave Lennie and just work for himself, but Lennie is what motivated George to achieve the dream.…
