Lenina’s introduction to the story is just as a random nurse, the more she is explained the more her personality comes through and you can tell that she isn’t as normal in the eyes of society as she chooses to only be with Henry. Lenina believed that nothing was wrong with being with one person and only that one for a period of time, although as her conditioning and her friend Fanny tries to persuade her that it’s not particularly a right for her to do. Her want for John grows and grows through the short time that he was within London. Lenina and John had stated their wants and desires for eachother. (Pg. #208) But Lenina’s conditioning ostracized her from the same feelings that John himself had felt. Lenina wanted John’s body, John wanted Lenina’s heart “I love you more than anything in the world” (Pg. #206) John wanted marriage from Lenina, she couldn’t bare to stand the thought of it, she threw herself at him assuming she would get what she wanted, what she thought they both wanted but John was sickened by her actions “get out of my sight or I’ll kill you” he said (Pg.
