The main actors in this film are Lewis Pinnock, a very poor white, part of the working class man who is barely surviving day to day. He also has to support and provide for his family. The best way to make people get a clue is to flip the roles. Some things I saw in the movie, I would never see a whit me go through. As an example when the two black cops were in the hood and picked on the innocent white man. You do not see things like that happen to whites. When the white people saw that one of their own were getting punished for no reason they group together to stop the unfair treatment. You see plenty of examples of that now in today’s society where blacks are grouping to stop the black crime.
From the beginning of the movie we saw that the blacks were at the table having a meeting, but what is significant about the meeting is that they were discussing whether the white man could be help/aided or not. This relates to our world because there are so many programs dedicated and publicly talked about that the black race uses for aid. This scene in the movie expresses what we as a class talk about and also what is in the textbook. Mr. Thomas showed his social status, and class in what could be considered master
