On instragram, an account posted a photo of an orangutan, and it was captioned, “This precious little girl was traumatised and in terrible physical condition when she was rescued in 2009. She had a fearful, haunted look in her eyes, a distended belly and sparse, thin hair. The team at the SOCP Quarantine Centre worked tirelessly to save Wenda’s life. Wenda hung on. Almost reluctantly.
