Leggings Be Pants Analysis

For my redefinition assignment I decided to do a category and criteria phrase opposed to a single word. I decided to do leggings are pants. I am aiming to target an older generation, but more specifically those who impose standards on how girls should dress. It is mainly those who are imposing rule and regulations on pre-college students dress code, like school officials with dated ideas of what is appropriate on students. The age range targeted is 35 to 50 year olds who lack the understanding that leggings are now considered pants and are appropriate to wear. It is people who are in need of a redefinition of style and modern fashion. The rhetorical methods of development I am using is creating a clear definition of what constitutes an article of clothing a being pants, this is the formal definition. A constraint is my own personal skill level in using imovie, because I have an image of how the movie should have turned out, but my skill level prevents this. Also, I do not have a mac so had to schedule time to use Penn State's resources. A resource is the fact that I am speaking and do wear leggings and am a first hand perspective from those who believe leggings are pants and shouldn’t be even an issue in school dress code.
I mainly am trying to use a logical approach to how leggings are pants. They fit the criteria, everyone wears them and doesn’t feel as if they are being inappropriate, and that style has evolved making leggings now an acceptable form of clothing.
