The animations where strange and unnatural, the voice work was repetitive and overall poorly done, and the gameplay was clunky and boring. In this Qa lab I had played two of the games twice before There Might be Ponds, and Office Mayhem.…

Yanagita Kunio had a method with his folktales and legends that made him stand out. His search for the origins of Japan’s unique culture led to him being the first, and many would agree, best folklorist, of the Meiji Period. Yanagita’s ability to make a lore, passed on by an informant, increasingly literary made his legends of Tōno distinguishable. This approach of evoking powerful emotions such as fear through a literary standpoint can have an impact on the reader by producing a physical emotion that would normally be lost through a handed-down verbal story. The most common themes that I witnessed in The Legends of Tōno that bring to mind emotion are spirts or the concealed world, feminism, the yamabito, death, and the natural world.…

Gone Home is often questioned on the complexity of its game play, and is often thought to be more of an interactive story, however it does fulfill the requirements of a game and I will be discussing various game play mechanics in Gone Home such as the different objects and their attributes, rules for game play and the overall design that help to support the narrative, as well as how all of this is used to create an effective story and why this is the best medium for such a story. I will start by giving the briefest of summaries; the game opens with Kaitlin, who we control in a first person perspective, returning home to a locked house all set in the 90s Their is a note left…

Liquidity The current and quick ratio are used to determine a company’s ability to meet its short-term obligations. Though it is not surprising that the current ratio is generally higher due to the inclusion of inventory in the calculation, the bulk of Nintendo’s current assets are in the form of cash and cash equivalents, indicating that it is highly liquid. Nintendo uses little debt leverage and accrues minimal liabilities, which explains why their current/quick assets cause the current and quick ratios to be greater than 1 and why these ratios have steadily increased over the past 3 years.…
