Legalizing Performance Enhancing Drugs: The Benefits Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are all names that we associate with the use of performance enhancing drugs today. Uses of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) have become a popular issue in sports within the last 10 years and it is well known to be used throughout a variety of activities. If the use of performance enhancing drugs in sports needed to be settled, these drugs should be legalized for the athletes, with a doctor’s guidance, because it will affect each player to perform at a higher level than they have already been presenting.
It is important to realize that the use of performance enhancing drugs has been around since as long as sports have been around and even long before that. Being around for so long and never completely getting rid of them is another reason why PEDs should just simply be legalized.
