Marijuana, Pot, or Weed. Whatever you call it it all is under much debate in American politics. With over half of the country already legalizing the plant scientifically known as Cannabis Sativa for medicinal purposes and 5 states legalizing pot for recreational purposes.Pot has long been the topic of much controversy. It has been used for thousands of years, Originally used in Native Americans cloths. We have only recently begun debating this topic with both sides arguing very valid points. Marijuana has a chemical in it that causes an extended high, and relieves pain along with swelling in medicinal use. There are many reasons for legalizing Pot. Although some may argue that Marijuana has many negative side effects, pot should be legalized.

Large portions of elderly citizens have a chronic illnesses known as Arthritis. Arthritis is stiffness of the joint caused by swelling the symptoms worsen with age. At the moment this disease is incurable.
