Legalizing Marijuana Argumentative Analysis

Many people are willful on Legalizing Marijuana because they feel it can increase the number of drugs already in the USA. While others feel that the U.S can benefit from legalizing marijuana. Even though some disagree, legalizing marijuana has its good side and it can benefit both the government and citizens. Although marijuana should remain illegal, others disagree. According to the article “The money gained from the legalized sale of marijuana could be used pay teachers and firefighters salaries, and also to fix city infrastructures”(Weston,1). If it were to be legalized they could tax it which would increase the money earned from taxing. Which was mentioned earlier could be used to help fix rundown structures or increase salaries for jobs. Also, it can eradicate the number of people getting arrested for possession of Marijuana and drug dealing. In 2015, 643,121 people were arrested for possession. If it were legalized it would decrease the crimes involving marijuana and possibly other drugs.
