Looking back at the time when you were a high school student, have you ever wondered how you ever survived the massive amount of homework given out? For every high school student, homework is a very large part of his or her lives. Schoolwork given to do outside of school has a negative impact on students; it destroys an individual. The government should illegalize homework on account of the stress put upon teenagers, how futile it is as well as how it confines students from being themselves. Pupils are experiencing immense amount of stress because of homework, therefore homework should be prohibited. For instance, large amounts of work received from school have reduced the hours of sleep teens have been obtaining. Sleep is an important factor …show more content…
Thinking it thoroughly, students fall into either one of the two categories. Pupils either finish because they understand and know the concept already or not even try because they do not understand. Even so, both groups will not obtain anything from assignments, which indicates that prohibiting will be the best solution. Also, not all teachers check homework, which will leave students wondering whether or not they are on the right track. Some educators do, nevertheless, don’t leave a specific and detailed advice that can be used for other related projects. Both teachers and students will not gain anything from it; homework will just be pointless. These thoughts will cause students to become unmotivated as well as indolent, so prohibiting homework will give benefit to both parties. Moreover, homework has a negative impact on our school learning. For example, if one is forced to complete schoolwork at home, students will start to forget the pleasure in learning. As a result, schoolwork should be proscribed considering its …show more content…
For instance, school should stay at school. Students already spend five out of seven days in school; homework has the effect of making students feel as if they are confined at school all day and that should not be the case, being another reason for why prohibiting homework will give out excellent results. Moreover, eliminating assignments will let teens breathe in fresh air with the time they had to spend accomplishing the work and will allow one to have more freedom to do what they enjoy. Also, if help is needed, there are after school sessions where students can receive help from teachers. If one feels like they need to improve in an area, they have the opportunity to advance. The high school students who thoroughly understand the lesson should not have to practice by doing the homework given by the teachers. The ones who have already comprehended the lecture from school should be rewarded with more time for hobbies and interests. Therefore, homework should be outlawed, allowing pupils to be themselves and enjoy their private

First of all, homework causes stress on students. We may as well just spend all day at school if we are having school at home anyways. Students should go to school, work on “school” work, then come home and not do “school” work at home. This would increase the productivity and attitudes of students. I, for one, would be in a much better mood concerning school if I knew that I didn’t have to look forward to coming home to more school work.…

    Homework Should Be Banned

It should neither be fully abolished or given to students in preposterous amounts. Although some say that homework is something that does no good for students, it actually has many benefits to students such as it has students receive better grades, learn what responsibility is, and figuring out how to balance homework with free time. All of these skills are not something that will help them in school, but in the rest of their lives. With that in mind, homework is not something that should be banned or fully embraced. Homework should be something that is balanced and only used as a tool to help students gain proficiency in a subject, not as busy work.…

In place of stressing out students over material that most will never use again, students should be evaluated on their strengths and weakness and then placed in classes based off those readings. Some people might say that only focusing on strengths will also hurt students by making them less well rounded which is true, but the system can still create well-rounded students by helping them with their weakness, but not dwelling on them. Education at the high school level should be tailored towards the individual's strengths, preparing them for a career path of choice. Homework is another prime example of how unproductive school is. Thespiritscience.net says, “There is no actual evidence to support that high levels of homework have…

Homework should be banned all over America since I strongly agree that it is pointless and time wasting for not only students of all grades, but for the teachers that have to grade each student’s paper. Homework has been a problem for many students all around the country and it is statistically proven that it has been their biggest source of stress in their lives it can lead to mental and physical distress. Teachers believe they don’t give out too much homework, but when combining all the other classes that the student is taking, it’s adding up the hours that the homework takes to complete. The worst part of it is the teachers expect it by the next day or by the next time they meet. This doesn’t include that nearly six out of ten students participate…
