I have decided to write my research article paper on prostitution. Known for its mystery and secrecy, it can be a uncomfortable topic. Negative social stigmas associated with prostitution can take partial credit for the privacy surrounding the unpopular subjects. The first article I chose talks about prostitution in Canada, where it is against the law to participate in prostitution. Consequently, the treatment conflicted on the individuals involved is a harsh punishment, even if it was consensual. The majority of women participating in prostitution are willing and it is their means of income. In this paper it refers to prostitution as “sex work” as supposed to sexual harassment.
