Adoption for homosexual couples should be legalized all over the world because anyone who is able and is willing to be a loving parent justifies in becoming a parent, despite their sexual preferences. For a child adoption, even with same-sex parents, is a better alternative to an orphanage or being in a foster system. Evidence confirms that same-sex couples can provide good conditions to raise a child. It has been proven that in recent studies that there is a higher than average abuse rate among heterosexual parent families compared to same-sex parents. The American Psychological Association (APA) notes that there is a significant difference between lesbian mothers that abuse their children compared to heterosexual mothers. The numbers show that lesbian mothers who use physical discipline on their children are extremely rare. It forbids same-sex adoption because it is believed that the adopted child won’t have a healthy upbringing due to the sexuality of the parents.
