Legalizing Prostitution Pros

Herds of people flock the street of Las Vegas mesmerized by the lights, intrigued by the adventure, and yearning for some fun. Most tourists would be surprised to discover that legal prostitution would not be included in their weekend of adventure. It is a common mistake for people who are not from the city to think that prostitution is a legal act. It is not hard to come up with such an assumption, considering Las Vegas is crowded with people handing out cards advertising girls with no clothes on and buses showcasing girls with little to no coverage. In contrary to what these advertisements may suggest, prostitution is not legal in Clark County. Other counties, in the outskirts of the city, do tolerate this act and have brothels operating which offer the exchange of sex for money (Comella). These misconceived ideas of the city may be rooted from the history of prostitution in a small section of Las Vegas called Block 16 (Comella). Although some people may see this action as a degrading towards women, a factor that may increase child prostitution, and an act that can also increase human trafficking, there are more benefits to the situation rather than cons. In contrary to what people think, legalizing prostitution actually helps prevent diseases and promotes safer conditions, it 's a common act, and it produces more money for the city. PEople who argue against the issue do not consider the high regulations and the laws that will help make this a successful situation. The end result of legal prostitution will most greatly benefit the people who work within the business. People need to stop dwelling in the past and start focussing on the profitable future that can be achieved through legal prostitution. It is time to start seeing less diseases and violence, it is time to fight for
