Daniel Thomas is currently operating a sole proprietorship of garden design and maintenance business under the name Tuscan Gardens. Daniel 's business has no permanent base for its operations, since all the garden design and maintenance processes are made on the client headquarters. In this situation, according to the ABR website the business’ office or/and the home address can be considered as a business location (Australian Business Register, 2014).Therefore, it can be considered that Tuscan Gardens is based in Parkside a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia, where currently Daniel lives and has his office.

In this type of structure Daniel will gain protection for his personal assets in the event of lawsuit or debt. In addition will bring a more efficient taxation (Beesley, 2012). The currently operating model of Daniel’s business has limitations for supporting growth and longevity. An operating model describes the way that an organization decide questions such as, where will the company operate? What kind of products will it sell? Which customers and segments will it serve? Which processes will be outsourced? Which alliances will be most critical? (Delloite, 2011). As previously mentioned, Daniel 's business is based into his house, although this business location has some advantages such as freedom to choose the work hours, there are some limitations, for example if he needs expand the business and hire employees, he could lose part of his privacy, since the employees would be working into his residence. At the moment, the company provide services of design, build and maintain gardens. The company also assume the paving, tree removal, edging, installing irrigation, removing rubbish among other elements related to the gardening service in question. Of those activities Daniel
