1.4 Analyse how legal and regulatory framework impact on human resource management.
In the process of human resource management, the HR managers need to adhere to different laws and standards which are being developed for the welfare of employees and protecting their interests at the workplace. Similarly, a range of employee protection laws are followed in the HR management curriculum of M&S and the different laws are briefly discussed below.
Relations Amendment Act 2000 – This is the act developed for strengthening relations with the employees and not practicing any unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, nationality, and color and this law is the improvisation of the Race Relations Act 1976. 2.1 Analyse the reasons for human resource planning
HR Planning – The aspect of HR planning can be defined as the management process designed to match up with the strategic requirements of the business with sufficient skills and talents. The planning is the strategic approach to the management to figure out the present and future requirements of human resource in the business based on the requirement of functions and activities of the company(Ulrich, 2013).
