A leader is not only someone who has strong beliefs but is someone who stands up for those beliefs when they are being challenged. A leader sets direction and influences people to follow that direction. Leadership is the ability to successfully incorporate and utilize available resources for achieving organizational or societal goals. There are many different styles of leadership but great leadership depends on the character, presence, and intellect of that individual.
A leader with character builds trust within their organization by communicating consistently, being the example, showing everyday what right looks like, and expressing empathy when it is needed. A leader with presence shows professional bearing at all times, they never allow fear to be weakness, but to be motivation, and they are resilient, never letting failure be a hindrance but a learning experience. A leader with intellect has the mental ability and common sense knowledge to make sound judgment and allows the involvement of other people in decision making process.

She is a normal girl who wants the opportunity to get a good education, and will stand up for her rights and the rights of all women. Malala never let the fear of the Taliban hinder her confidence. Her resiliency to get back up and fight for what she believed in, after her near death experience, shows her strong presence. Her fearlessness at such a young age shows not just women, but everyone that their voice matters.
