Lee's Dream: A Fictional Narrative

Barely able to open his eyes Lee began to wake up. Although the room was very fuzzy Lee thought that he was waking up from a crazy dream. This is where he tried to get up, thinking he was still in his bed. Not able to get up, Lee finally realized he could not move. As he came to, it was obvious he was not dreaming. Looking up he saw the ceiling of the compound he and his friends had broken into. Lying down flat on his back Lee also saw he was strapped to a table in the lab with restraints on his wrists and ankles. He knew he had a problem because this was just like he had previously seen Cousin Dale laid out like this. The only thing that Lee could move was his head to look back and forth.

As the Senator did that Professor Poole also cracked a smile that revealed he was missing two of his front teeth. Seeing Professor Poole missing his two front teeth, Lee couldn't help it. He began to laugh out loud. Furious Senator McShady turned to Professor Poole and said, "It looks like our guest is awake."

While both men looked at each other and whispered under their breath, Lee knew he had to do something. If he just sat there they would get away with hurting all of the animals in Camp Sierra and his friends too. Plus if he didn't do anything, Professor Poole would wipe his memory clean. Lee couldn't stand for that, because if his brain was wiped clean he would forget all of the fresh rhymes he had memorized. Raising his head again to get the attention of Senator McShady and Professor Poole, Lee yelled, "Hey you two weirdos. Let me out of here."

Continuing their conversation they ignored Lee’s comments. Having plenty of experience at home with his mother not listening to him, Lee was very smart about knowing when he was being ignored. This time he knew to get their attention he needed something special. This time he yelled, "Hey Professor Snaggle Tooth and Senator McSquealy let me out of
