JFK ASSASSINATION
President John Kennedy was assassinated while he was travelling through Dealey Plaza in Texas on November 22nd 1963, while he was in the presidential motorcade. Lee Harvey was arrested for the murder of President Kennedy. Since the report was released from police there have been many conspiracy theories that believed Lee Harvey was not working alone in this horrible act of crime. This report will focus on the accepted story that was released to the public also on two off the conspiracy theories and will also include my point of view on which theory is most likely. I will also comment my thoughts on how the death of the President was relatable to New Zealand.

The first conspiracy I am going to write about is “Was the CIA involved in the death of President Kennedy?” The CIA’s potential involvement in the Death of Kennedy was mention during the 1960’s and 1970’s when they wanted to take out foreign leaders, and President Kennedy said to one of his close administration “I want to splinter the CIA into a thousand Pieces and scatter it into the wind.” According to the Author of the CIA Assassination theory “Kennedy was assassinated because he was turning away from the Cold War and wanted to have peace with the Soviet Union”. In October 1962 an American spy plane photographed nuclear missile sites being built by the soviet union on an island of Cuba. Kennedy did not want the Soviet Union to know that he had discovered the missiles. He then meet with secret advisors to discuss the problem. After many long meeting President Kennedy had come up with a solution. America place a naval blockade around cuba, Kennedy demanded that they remove the missile and that they destroy the missile sites. Nikita Khrushchev, leader of the Soviet Union, and President Kennedy then realized how devastating a nuclear power war could be. The Soviet Union then agreed and dismantled their missile sites and America also removed their missiles from turkey. Although the Soviet Union removed their missiles from cuba. They then Focused on the building of their military arsenal. In 1963 there were signs of the tension decreasing between the Soviet Union and America. Two actions were taken the establishment of a teletype hotline between Kremlin and the White House and the signing of the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty on July 25th, 1963. Another reason the CIA would have wanted President Kennedy dead is because in the 11th June 1963 Kennedy made a live announcement over the radio that he was going to pursue a comprehensive civil rights bill in
