“Lee Bui!” her professor hollered into the microphone, signifying Lee to receive her degree. She stood up with pride and carefully held onto her black graduation cap. As she walked down the Husky Stadium, all eyes were on her. Her family, her friends, and her professors were all gleaming with excitement. This concluded her journey as a scholar and established a new chapter in her life. But what is the rest of her story?

Lee Bui, 25, wore a ponytail as high as the heavens and an enthusiastic expression on her face. Despite her busy life, she happily agreed to participate in this interview. “The University of Washington is pretty great. They have a lot of high ranked professors. But the classes were so crowded,” she admitted. It was challenging to get one on one time with her professors. She also had some more minor issues with her college.”It was so easy to get lost there,” she said while laughing, “It took forever to travel between classes.” She also encountered some problems you would expect an average student struggles with. “Biggest obstacles that I faced in college were being proactive, not procrastinating, and making it to class since my parents weren't there to make sure I make it to school every day,” she said. However, she overcame these obstacles with the help of a planner. It's not the most extravagant solution, but it worked perfectly for a busy student like her. “It made me become a better student,” she added. Thanks to all these obstacles, it made her who she is today. But the most influential moment was her graduation. “Graduation made me realize that working full-time and going to school showed me that I can accomplish anything that I set my mind to,” she beamed.
