LED lights do have a higher initial cost compared to fluorescent lighting, but that is due to its longevity and advancement. Additionally, Monte Vista will preserve energy by switching to LED lights. LED lights are specifically created to limit the amount of energy produced, so, naturally, LED lights will conserve energy. LED lights use roughly 75% less energy compared to the standard lightbulb. Because LED lights conserve a substantial amount of energy, they last for a long time. On average, LED lights last over 30,000 hours (U.S Department of Energy). Due to the extensive amount of life LED lights have and the low maintenence, the school’s energy expenses will reduce considerably. This saves money for businesses. Another good thing is that neon has no known health effects or pollution (Chemical Elements). One downside of neon lighting is that it is heavier than normal LED lights because they are made out of glass. This causes them to use more energy than other signs, making them a little more expensive (Connelly). Also, neon lights are hard to see in the sunlight.…

Light is an electromagnetic radiation that can be detected by humans. Electromagnetic radiation happens in an extremely large range of wavelengths from gamma rays to radio waves. Within that spectrum the wavelengths visible to humans are few. Light is very difficult to define, in the sense that scientist have been arguing weather light is a particle or a wave. Many experiments have been done to proof weather light is a particle or a wave.…

Problem Statement Children receive a broad education up through middle school in many subject groups: social studies, science, math, language arts, health, and physical education. These subjects help with academic success or physical health, but often leave children without proper safety training for electricity. Electrical wounds and burns hospitalize 2,400 kids annually on average due to playing with electrical appliances (Brenner, 2013). These injuries happen because children do not understand the dangers of electricity and the risks that accompany its use. Children centers sometimes implement programs to teach students about electrical safety, but leaflets are the major way of information distribution in these settings (Watson et al., 2001).…

Light synthesis principles The basic idea of light waveform synthesis can be described as follows: First, the spectrum of a light waveform is decomposed into its constituent spectral components by a disperser, then, adequate modulators acting on each of this spectral components individually modifies the relative phase (or delay), the amplitude and polarization of these components before they are coherently superimposed again by a combiner to create a desired tailored waveform (Figure 2a)41. Although, any arbitrary field waveform can be composed by applying the above idea, in reality the arbitrariness is sensitive to two key parameters.…

I think solar energy would be the most effective energy for the United States to develop. The energy cost has dropped because the technology improved. Although some still argue that solar energy is costly, it is beneficial to the environment because it is efficient, it will not give off harmful gases, and it is easily accessible. Solar energy is powered by sunlight, which converts it into solar heating and electricity.…
