Ishango Bone is dating back to 20,000 B.C. it is yet another amazing mathematical artifact.
Found in the 1970’s during the excavations of a Border Cave, the bone was found with nearly 29 clear defined notches and with it being found it was stated that it was the oldest mathematical artifact dating it was approximately dated back to 35,000 B.C. Judging by the distinctive marks on the bone it could have been used for many different ways, such as tracking menstrual cycles or lunar cycles, maybe it could’ve just been a measuring stick.
