The maximum number of honors classes for freshman was two, and the only honors classes were for Biology and Geometry. For me, I never really enjoyed math, but my mom still pressured me into taking it, to do it for “college application purposes”.…

I had taken advantage of an educational opportunity at my high school by enrolling in the advanced placement (AP) classes. I was first introduced to the idea of AP classes during my last year of intermediate school, but despite knowing almost nothing on the subject I was interested in the idea of taking a college level class even before graduating high school. In the hope that I will be able to go further in my education, I took a couple of AP courses during my senior year of high school. By taking the college-level courses while still in high school, I am able to save money by not having to pay for certain college classes in the future and I am able to experience what college class material is like. This shows that not only do I value my education,…

It has embedded these values into its students by making 100 hours of community service a requirement to graduate. It is because of this “law” that I participated in the Missouri A + program. By the end of this school year, I will have dedicated over 50 hours of my time specifically to tutoring and mentoring those around me.…
