Leavening TSU Reflection

Decent Essays
Part A:
This experience was different. Getting to work with other people outside of the department was fun and hard at the same time. The visual department students had a project to take our poems put them to video about a topic. My group chose the topic surrounding the election. Working on these types of projects taught me the importance of working in groups and taught me how to coordinate with other people’s schedules. These are lessons I believe would be valuable to after leavening TSU. This was also the more difficult part of the project. Working with people in the class it easier because everyone is aware of what is going on and receive the same set of instructions, therefore making easier make group arrangements. When working outside

I also performed wound care for up to 100 patients when I worked as a Wound Care Nurse.…

Throughout this whole quarter, I would say that I have learned a lot in this class. Not only that I learned what is in the syllabus but also the importance of being able to apply my understandings on a problem. I believe that the instructor did a great job in addressing the learning outcomes in this class by helping us in understanding the concepts that we need to learn in order complete this course. One of the learning outcomes of this course is that each students should be able to describe, interpret and predict the propagation of energy via waves, using applied conservation of energy principles. Before this class, I have learned about the law of conservation of energy in PHYS221 with Micheal Greiner.…

First, what worked well was how our group integrated our individual skills together to complete the project. When we introduced ourselves and what our concentrations were, it was easy to determine what roles and responsibilities we would take on. We worked individually on our tasks before meeting together and integrating everything into the final product. The problems that arose primarily concerned communication and scheduling group meetings.…

I had never received education in the united states so it was kind scaring for me to attend the on line class with Collaborative Learning Community (CLC) Group Project. I was worried about I may not attend the group well and involve others into trouble. I am surprised that I did good in the group. It is a good experience to work with others who have different culture and I did learn something new from the CLC group project. The problem was we had schedule and it was hard to contact people right away and everyone had their own opinions and points so communication was a very important element to deal with the project.…

The hours of work were from 9am to 5 pm however an hour of lunch break was set each day at 12pm. The amount of work that was set was reliant to the supervisor and the amount of work that was needed for that day.…

Styrke (2012) states that a traumatic brain injury (TBI) is defined as “an alteration in brain function, or other evidence of brain pathology, caused by an external force” (p. 15). This reflection will explore a blog about a patient’s experiences post TBI and how it has shaped the way I will provide care to patients with TBI in the future. Page (2016) talks about the physical, cognitive and emotional changes that have affected his life and his families post TBI, such as the loss of long term memory, concentration difficulties and the cognitive overload associated with things that were once second nature. During my placement in ICU I have cared for several patients post TBI, and I have noticed that areas of communication and education can sometimes…

When I considered taking WRTG 101 this semester I was unsure how much it would affect my writing style. I have always had issues with the strength of my writing and my overall writing style. Whether it was run on sentences, proper citations, an overall passive writing style, or proper use of pronouns my writing style needed a tune up. After taking this class I have an improved overall understanding of the writing process and how to apply it in different writing situations. Run on Sentences were a concern before I took the class, however now I have a much better understanding of proper sentence structures.…

While at JBU I hope that I can be an encouragement to others to dig deeper into God's word. Throughout high school I have noticed a large amount of people who may attend church on sunday but I can not tell during the school week that they are in fact christians. This is a reminder to me that I am always representing God and Christianity whenever and wherever I am. Because of this I have been involved in starting a few prayer groups over the years to help encourage and bring my brothers and sisters in Christ together as a way to encourage one another. One thing I find encouraging about JBU is the student led worship service I attended while on my visit.…

Throughout the course, I learned different aspects of project management, and skills that can be used in the everyday life as long as involve interacting with other people. In this class I learned about how to be a better team member. This semester I was reminded of how important communication is and how people need to keep emphasizing it as one of the most important skills any person could possesses. The personality test was useful, I think it gave all of us a good way to start to see how everyone is different. It made it easier for each of us to better understand one another in how our unique personalities can be a challenge when working with others.…
