A Description of the Leatherman Raptor Shear
INTRODUCTION:
The Leatherman Raptor shear is a compact, multi-tool, that was designed for medical and emergency professionals to have an all-in-one tool to use in survival situations. These beneficial shears contain several useful tools, such as an oxygen tank wrench, auto glass breaker, belt strap cutter, and ring cutter.
DESIGN:
The Leatherman Raptor shear folds into a compact size of 5 inches in length and comes with a convenient belt clip for easy accessibility. The shear length is 1.9 inches making the total length 6.9 inches when extended. These light-weight shears weight 5.8 ounces and are made of 420 HC (High Carbon) stainless steel. 2. BELT STRAP CUTTER-

 STRUCTURE: This tool is made of 440 stainless steel and has a simple “V” shape that requires minimal access to the belt and less worry of cutting the patient.
 FUNCTION: The belt strap cutter is used to cut seatbelts that have entrapped victims.

3. RING CUTTER-  STRUCTURE: The ring cutter is accessed by opening and closing the handles just as you would use the shears but located on the back side of the shears.
 FUNCTION: When a person’s ring is unable to be removed from the finger simply slide one side of the ring cutter under the ring and squeeze the handles together.

4. RULER-  STRUCTURE: The ruler is located on the bottom side of the shears and is 5cm long.
 FUNCTION: Used for measuring length.

5. OXYGEN TANK WRENCH-  STRUCTURE: The oxygen tank wrench is used by sliding the top rotatable rectangle of the oxygen bottle inside the wrench.
 FUNCTION: This gives the extra leverage needed to rotate either right or left to turn the oxygen bottle on or
