Least Dragons’ Social Adaptations Thrag Island poses a great challenge for a solitary species survival, the high quality but, low abundance of the food forces social groups such as the least dragons to find a safe nest and secure the survival of its members, through adaptations such as torpor, social strategies, and food provisioning. Also, one of the fascinating behaviors of these dragons is to cuddle with members of the group which in turn seems to help the dragons to save energy during the night to stay at a constant temperature and increases during dawn even if the temperature is low as they used their saved energy to heat up their bodies. Moreover, flowering plants that bloom in the area, form part of different territories from groups of dragons, as securing different plants in a territory of a group will provide enough food for all the members during all year considering than they could eat some insects that are near the plants (who might come during summer time to pollinate the plants due to the cold temperatures in the night and other seasons as insects are not adapted to this conditions being poikilothermic, which makes them a rare delicious morsel) or they could store the nectar in their nests during the winter. This might cause fights between the groups to obtain most of the pollen from plants before winter comes.
