Aural means I learn best when hearing the information spoken and by asking questions about the concept I am learning. When I took the learning styles assessment it concluded that I am a tactile learner, which indicates that I comprehend by doing or touching. It is difficult for me to process information just by listening or reading, I would have to physically write it down over and over for it be imprinted into my brain. I use a lot of hand gesture while speaking because it helps me remember what the situation was about, and if I need to spell out a word I have to fingerspell it out in the air. Or if I’m trying to solve a math problem in my head, I would sometimes use my finger as a pen on my desk and solve it with my imagination. The assessment states that tactile learners use flashcards and arrange them into groups by relationship in order to absorb the…

Not all learning styles can fit into a specific situation, there are times when a kinesthetic style is better than an aural. By becoming proficient in all learning styles, I would become flexible in all learning situations. The student should be able to shift towards the professors teaching styles in addition to exceling in their learning environment. Now, I work the best with the aural, kinesthetic, and read/write learning styles, with the weakest like being the visual learning style. The learning style assessment, in my opinion was very accurate with how I feel I study. The assessment consisted of a variety of questions that range from our everyday life out of school to the way we do stuff in classes. Some of the questions asked allowed you to choose multiple answers, which I feel they should have allowed this for the entire assessment rather than just a few. Once completing the assessment, it gave you a breakdown out of all three learning styles; audio, hands on, and visual, which one is your most used way of learning and then listed the rest in a different order following. Each individual learning style had a percentage next to it and also an understanding of what exactly it is below the scores.…
