The framework creates a balance between structured and unstructured play. Moyles stated that “children learn by going over things and cementing their knowledge”. Play provides children with an environment where they can rehearse and develop their learning, knowledge and understanding. Play gives all children the opportunity to learn from engaging in skills which are linked to each area of development. Social skills and language skills are the most common skills to be developed through play. Children can better their understanding of the world around them through play. The children are developing these skills as they are applying logic and are solving problems in different games for example.
