I would try to get myself to read books again and I would not be unable to read much.
Motivation is a desire to fulfill goal-directed behaviour. It involves social and biological needs. Biological needs include hunger, sex and self-preservation. Social needs include need for achievement and affiliation (Colman, 2015). Motivation helps people to accomplish tasks, and satisfy their needs. Achieving goals is the main ways of utilizing motivation for the satisfaction gained by completing tasks and having a sense of accomplishment. It is also used everyday for actions like deciding to wake up, eating food, and going to work. Motivation is an important part of everyday life and helps to shape it.

I am inclined to be the personality type that seeks achievement and challenge, which fits with the need for achievement. Additionally, the need for achievement was the primary reason for reading as I sought to feel a sense of accomplishment for reading books. A detailed plan of reading books with definable goals would have adhered to the advancement of my needs. The theory of needs also would have helped to identify my characteristics such as persistently pursuing my goals of reading, thus increasing my motivation. Furthermore, informing someone about my reading might make it more likely to motivate me to read, due to the possibility of receiving
