My project will be about teaching young students how to read. I really want to do this as a project because a lot of my classmates and teachers have told me that they envision me to be a teacher when I grow up. I wanted to see if I enjoy teaching and this is one method that I can do to see if I enjoy teaching a group of students. My target audience will be my teachers, peers and parents. They will be my target audience because teachers and parents are the ones who take a major role of their child’s education. My peers will also be a target audience because maybe when we grow up we would like to be a teacher. This project will help me to make connections with the world by that this type of project will help me to develop qualities that will benefit me in the world. I will be able to teach the second generation and help them do the basic things in life that they will always use like reading or writing. How long it take them to learn how to read? What kind of methods will help them learn better? What’s the hardest part of learning how to read? Lastly, what will the results of this project be? The 21st century skills that I will improve on in this project is information skills, communication skills, thinking and problem solving, interpersonal skills and global awareness. I will improve on this skills by that I will be doing research and looking for methods that could help a young student how to read. I will improve on my communication skills by that I will be regularly talking and teaching with that young student. I will improve on my thinking and problem solving by that since kids who are little seem to change their mind quickly and their moods changes.
