This was a huge slap in the face for me, because my youngest of four brothers is 16. I say this was a slap in the face because I never got to watch a child grow up. She amazes my more and more everyday with all the new things she learns. When I read her a book she always says “read it again” and the second time through it is like she already has the book memorized from the illustrations. This is how I also began to read books! When we are young we love the pictures. We probably never even knew there were words. Looking at the pictures makes my little sister want to color. Watching her color makes me think, is this our first sign of writing? I honestly think that coloring is the first sign of writing and maybe even reading. Whenever I am coloring with my little sister I write her same. I don't think she understands yet that it says “Sophie”, but soon enough she
