The fact that it was based on a true story made it even better. It was filled with life lessons that I will always carry with me. For example, feeling like you don’t belong somewhere only to find people you were destined to meet. These refugees had such a hard life before they were moved to the US but the struggles didn’t stop there. They constantly felt like outsiders in a place they should be able to call home. Once the Fugees found each other and started up the team, it helped them cope with everything going on. Soccer was their outlet. I can relate to them because most of my school career I felt like an outsider. Mind you i had been going to the same school since I was five years old. I had two or three best friends but if they weren’t there on the same day I felt completely alone. I continued to feel this way until I started FFA. FFA was to me what soccer was to the refugees, it was my outlet. I found a family in FFA and it made my high school career worthwhile. My goal for this semester was to get an A in this class. So far I am on track for this goal. I have and A- right now. To help myself keep on track for this goal I will continue to study for the final exam. I will have someone test me as another form of studying and I will also try to relax. I have always gotten extremely nervous before tests and this is absolutely no exception. My nerves often cause me to second guess myself and my work but I will
