Learning in school was difficult when I was younger because I struggled with being moved from different schools. As I grew older, I would start to think about my future career and goals. Including thinking about going to colleges, but knowing it will be tough financially.

Reason why I believe I deserve a scholarship is because my family is not financially stable. They have bills to pay and food to buy. We do have times in which we would like to go out somewhere, but then we won’t have enough money for gasoline. If it was not for the scholarship I would probably not be able to go to college. I am going to school for a better life and to not struggle financially as it is happening to my family. I am a very responsible, organized, and educated

Although I enjoy spending time verbally expressing my thoughts and feelings to others, it becomes difficult when these thoughts and feelings are expressed through writing. To me, writing has always been busy work and something that teachers only used to create grades. My writing experience in high school was very limited to one category in: practice AP essays. The writing I did in class was always preparing for AP exams and was very fact based. Most essays, such as history, were only used to show that I knew the material and weren’t graded on how good the writing was. I didn’t feel like I had any freedom to stray away from the format that the AP graders expected because I didn’t want that to affect my score.…
