I spread all six books on the floor. This time Jace brought Henry with so I had two boys to read to and with. Jace chose his book first turning his book in the right direction face forward towards himself. I asked Jace to open up his first page where we are going to start reading. Jace struggled to open the page right away because the pages were pretty thin. I let Jace struggle because I was curious to which page we would open it to. He finally got the page and it was opened to the first page with the first pictures. Not, the introduction page. From there I started to read ‘Barney’s Trick or Treat!’ The boys listened intently. They started with only observing and taking in the first two pages but when they got comfortable with my talking they decided to chime in. The boys made comments on every page about the pictures. Jace pointed at the main objective at each page. I was confused in my own head, wondering if he understood what I was reading that 's why he knew what each page was about or if the illustrator did a wonderful job helping Jace to understand what the main objective was. Throughout the book I had Jace flip the pages. Beginning of our book again he struggled probably because of the thin papers but toward the middle he adapted.
