The purpose of this post is to discuss Learners Theories and how to apply it when addressing the high incidence of infant mortality rate in my community (Franklin County, Ohio) with mothers and expectant mothers. According to Nies &McEwen, 2015 page 124: Learners Theories help us understands how individual, families and groups learn. Nies & McEven postulate different theories that can be useful to the nurse in educating its patients.
