Learned Helplessness: When one is inclined to experiencing helplessness when encountering situations that one cannot control. Throughout anyone's life, giving up always seems plausible and is a simple route out of a tough situation. Similarly, if an event itself cannot change, and one cannot change that particular event, the effortless way of dealing with the situation is to give up. When one gives up, one can avoid the inconvenience of possibly experiencing depression from the stress of the event or getting disappointed in the end, when one did try his or her best in a situation.

To begin, an example could be drawn upon an elephant. Imagine a baby elephant is tied to a pole at an absolutely young age, with barely any strength to support
