Leapfrog is an interactive learning pad for children ranging from the age of 0 months to 6+, this programs teaches children numbers, letters, shapes and colors. Leapfrog has learning activities for areas like math, science, reading and writing, there are also activities to help with problem solving skills and social skills. When it comes to the younger age group Leapfrog uses a lot of pictures and sounds to teach the child, the child presses on a picture and the leapfrog will read what they choose. This pad also helps children identify colors by having the picture and spelling of the color under the picture, familiarizing the child with that particular color. Another video I found showed a young girl learning songs like “The Wheels on the Bus”, the “ABC’s and etc. …show more content…
Leapfrog uses a lot of current child characters to gravitate towards the child, I feel this is a smart way to keep that child’s interest and helps build the child’s knowledge. I feel leapfrog is definitely. Personally I feel leapfrog is beneficial for children to have, instead of being glued to a television set they are able to learn a variety of things, even things they typically will learn in kindergarten. As the child starts developing parents are able to buy books and lessons for the child. What I like about the leapfrog is that it suits to all children, you have children that are visual learners or auditory learners, parents can buy books that strictly read to the child or reads the picture for better learning. When it comes to the visual learners’ leapfrog offers tons of pictures and bright colors to interest the child. I would recommend the parent first look into all the programs leapfrog has to offer. Parents show spend more time reading with child, helping them sound out word, identify different pictures and
