He is trying to tell us that happiness is simple, and it comes from the recognition and appreciation of life. However, different people also have their own point of view of defining happiness, so it might not be easy to tell if a person is really happy or not. In Mystics, Mavericks, and Merrymakers, Stephanie Wellen Levine told us about different girls' identities and how these girls were influenced by their Orthodoxy. Specifically, Leah Ratner was one of the deepest characters which Levine had mentioned. She was sensitive and passionately immerses herself in Lubavitch culture. Therefore, Levine came up with one nagging question, “Is Leah really happy” (179?) Happiness is simple because it is easy to come; happiness is also complex because it is not easy to define. However, we still can notice that Leah was happy because of her religious beliefs and her own personality. As Frederick tells us, happiness comes from the appreciation and recognition of what we are doing. Leah immersed her life in her Lubavitch culture. It might have a lot of restrictions, but Leah still appreciate being the Lubavitch girl and the Lubavitch life. Leah’s sensitivity might make her emotional in different things; however, her personality also makes her to receive happiness in an invisible way.
