As students progress through the educational system, each year builds on the things that they learned in the previous year. By building upon, and therefore building up, the knowledge of students, teachers are able to raise them up to become mature and eloquent adults. Making sure that students go out into the world prepared to face every challenge that is thrown at them with adequate reasoning skills is no trivial matter, and true educators strive to prepare their students for any task. On the other hand, the word “raise” makes me envision teachers encouraging and lifting up their students, ensuring that they do not become discouraged or burnt out. It is incredibly easy for students to get frustrated when they feel they cannot grasp a concept, and I think it is the teacher’s job to make sure their students do not give up entirely. One way of educating someone does not necessarily work for everyone else, and a teacher that pays attention to each individual student’s needs allows for an equal chance at learning. Without teachers keeping their students excited and involved in the learning process, education would not carry the same meaning to me. A student that is backed with support will be able to reach their fullest potential, and this is the true goal of education. Overall, I think that education entails teachers
