The leadership styles identified in Chapter 9, include authoritarian leadership style, democratic leadership style, and laissez-faire leadership style. An example of authoritarian leadership style would be a CEO of a company, whose word is final, and he/she expects each individual to hold to his/her responsibilities and abilities. An example of democratic leadership style would be representatives in Congress, who work together for the betterment of the United States of America. An example of laissez-faire leadership style would be start-up company owners, who hire professionals to handle most of the work, and they themselves practice a “hands off” approach.
