Leadership Styles in Lord of The Flies To be a good leader you need to have certain qualities. The stronger or more physically dominant have a greater influence on others this helps him gain followers. However, sometimes the strongest is not always the best choice. Willam Golding in The Lord of The Flies uses the desire for power between two characters Ralph and Jack to show it is one of the strongest human drives. Ralph and Jack are the main characters in this book. Ralph prefers a democratic style of leadership, while Jack prefers a cruel dictatorship.
In William Goldings novel, Ralph is not the strongest but has a better plan and a good understanding for the group. This gives Ralph the
